In 2020, Sarah Tió was recognised as a Distinguished Alumna by the School of Architecture and Design at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (EAD–PUCMM) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

The distinction acknowledged her professional development and contribution to society during the first five years of her architectural career, marking an early milestone in a practice spanning architecture, interior design and education.

The recognition also represented a meaningful return to the institution where her architectural journey began — this time as part of a new generation of alumni contributing to the profession beyond the university.
